Reality TV personality Bob Sithole, widely recognized as Bobby Blanco, has decided to address a troubling incident involving the travel agency Eco Travel, owned by Charlie Van de Walt, based in Ballito, Durban.
Funds Disappearance and Deceptive Practices
Bobby Blanco revealed that his trust was misplaced. He shared that the owner, Charlie Van de Walt, failed to fulfil the promised services. He has also dupped off a substantial amount of funds, totalling R200,000.

Furthermore, Blanco highlighted that his case is not isolated, stating,
“Numerous consumers have bravely stepped forward, providing evidence of embezzlement by Charlie Van de Walt, valued at an estimated R2-million. I wish to make it clear that this is not just a personal grievance but a matter of public concern.”
Expressing the impact on holiday plans, he added,
“The actions of Eco Travel and its owner, Charlie Van de Walt, have left me and so many others with such disappointment to fulfill our holiday plans in 2023 and 2024.”
Legal Action and Collaboration with Authorities
Talking to Sundayworld, Bobby Blanco emphasized that fraudulent activities of this nature cannot be tolerated and urged law enforcement authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter. He stated that several cases have been opened to address the matter and they would appreciate further support.

Collaborating with the police and legal counsel, Blanco aims to expedite the process of holding Charlie Van de Walt accountable for the damages caused to him and other affected individuals. He affirmed, “I am determined to see this through to its rightful conclusion and ensure that such unscrupulous practices do not go unchecked.”
Police Involvement and Investigation
According to Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, a fraud case has been opened for further investigations. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
