The seemingly picture-perfect marriage of television actor-turned-businessman Loyiso Mangena has shattered, with his estranged wife, Glodean Marianne Kenny, levelling serious allegations of infidelity, emotional abuse, and financial misconduct. The couple, who have two children together, have been living separate lives since August of last year. Our investigation reveals a union broken by betrayal and a battle over assets.
Loyiso Mangena Accused of Infidelity and Control As Wife Seeks Divorce
According to Sundayworld, the final fracture in their marriage occurred when Kenny confronted Mangena about an extramarital affair. The situation is said to be so severe that, despite still living under the same roof, the pair occupy separate bedrooms. One source close to Kenny revealed the depth of the betrayal, stating,
“She said that Loyiso sometimes spends time with his mistress at their Waterfall Estate home in Midrand. That act alone eroded the last bit of trust she had left in their marriage. She feels completely betrayed and wants out.”

It is understood that Mangena, the former Backstage star and kwaito musician known as Chippa, made attempts to salvage their relationship. However, Kenny reportedly rejected his pleas for counselling, feeling that his indiscretion had damaged their bond beyond repair.
Beyond the accusations of unfaithfulness, Kenny describes her husband as domineering and controlling. A source explained that despite her being dutiful and accommodating, Mangena’s need to lord over her became unbearable. The financial trust between them was allegedly shattered when Mangena made a unilateral decision concerning their shared property.
“He withdrew about R1 million (approximately US$53,000) from their multi-million rand home’s bond account and used the money without consulting her,” a source alleged. “She believes that Loyiso has no respect for her because he would not have withdrawn such a vast sum and used it alone. She is demanding he repay the money, as she wants the home to be a secure residence for herself and their children, free of this financial burden.”
A Lavish Lifestyle and a Fight for Maintenance
The divorce proceedings are also set to be contentious regarding financial support. Kenny, who was accustomed to a life of luxury provided by Mangena, is seeking substantial spousal maintenance. The source detailed the lifestyle she wishes to maintain, saying,
“He introduced her to a lavish way of living. They holidayed regularly overseas, he bought her expensive cars and gifts, and their children attended private school. She wants that lifestyle to continue and expects him to fund it until she either remarries or passes away.”

Mangena, however, is reportedly opposed to this. He has instead suggested that Kenny contribute to the bond repayments on their home or vacate the property – a proposition she has firmly refused.
Both Loyiso Mangena and Glodean Kenny, who are known to be very private individuals, have thus far declined to respond to our repeated requests for comment on these allegations.
