Two Brothers Fight Over John Vuli Gate Song Ownership

Ndivhuwo Nephawe (26) has accused his brother, McMillan “Man Malaya” of stealing the track John Vuli Gate.

Mapara A Jazz recently made headlines and sent social media into a frenzy with their hit song and dance challenge dubbed ‘#JohnVuliGateDanceChallenge. However, there are now back in the spotlight following fighting over ownership of the song.

This comes after, one of the hitmakers Ndivhuwo Nephawe age 26 accused his brother, McMillan “Man Malaya” who is a member of the Amapiano duo Mapara A Jazz, alongside Leonard “Lenny Sbechu” Malatji of stealing his track as he claims full ownership of the song.

During an interview with the Daily Sun, Ndivhuwo, who is a member of Scara Chilli Ya Baba, claims the duo stole their song in July when they visited their studio to listen to a music project they were working on at that time.

“Yes, he’s my brother, but this is business. We won’t allow them near our studios again,” he said.

“We wrote the song alongside Ntosh Gazi. The duo is in the limelight because of our song.

“They should stop performing and telling people it’s their song. The matter is in the hands of our legal team,” he said.

Responding to the allegations, Ntosh, whose real name is Ntokozo Soko, claims that he is the one who came up with the concept. He dismissed claims that they stole the song.

“This is my song. I came up with the concept and was supposed to collaborate with Scara Chilli Ya Baba and Mapara A Jazz on the song.”

“I made the song trend because of my popularity.”

“Where were they all this time? Why are they complaining now as the song is big?” he asked.

Meanwhile, Scara Chilli Ya Baba have already opened a case against Mapara A Jazz at Olievenhoutbosch Police Station.
