Two Teenagers Killed, Five Injured in Suspected Gang-Related Shooting in Westbury
In a shocking daylight shooting, two teenagers were killed and five others wounded in what police believe was a gang-related attack in Westbury, Johannesburg.
The incident occurred around 1 pm on Tuesday along Croesus Street, a known hotspot for gang violence in the area.

Attack Carried Out by Rival Teen Gang Members
According to police reports, seven teenagers were sitting on the porch of a house when they were approached by four individuals, believed to be members of a rival gang.
Three of the suspects were armed and opened fire without warning before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victims, aged between 13 and 19, were caught off guard. Two of them were declared dead on the scene, while the remaining five sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Police Confirm Gang Connection
Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili confirmed the fatal shooting, saying,
“Two of the teenagers were declared dead on the scene, while the five wounded victims were taken to the hospital.”
She added that preliminary investigations point to a gang-related motive behind the attack.
Investigation Underway as Units Comb the Area
Brigadier Muridili said that the Provincial Anti-Gang Unit and SAPS Forensic Services were still on the scene conducting investigations.
“District Crime Intelligence has also been mobilised to assist the Anti-Gang Unit in tracing the suspects,” she added.
The police have urged anyone with information to come forward as the search for the four suspects continues.
