During the interview, Tyla was asked what she misses the most about South Africa when she is away. She revealed that she misses the food, especially pap, expressing,
“The food. “Yoooh, hhayi. I travel with big pap [maize meal] from South Africa so I can make it wherever I go.”
Tyla continued to rave about South African food, emphasizing that while American food is cool, South African cuisine is undoubtedly the best
“I don’t really like a lot of food. Like, American food is cool, but hhayi, South African food is the best, in my opinion,” she added.
