Umkhokha: The Curse Ndlovu Actor Kini Shandu Gets Married
Good news is in the air as Umkhokha: The Curse actor Kininonke “Kini” Shandu gears up to celebrate a significant milestone in his relationship with his sweetheart, Andile Khanyile.

Double Delight: Umembeso and Umkhehlo on the Same Day
The SABC1 Daily Thetha presenter is set to engage in both umembeso (traditional gift exchange) and umkhehlo (traditional engagement) on the same day. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at Andile’s home in Nongoma, KZN, on Sunday, 24 December, and will see the presence of various TV presenters and notable figures adorned in traditional attire.
Lobola Paid and Hearts United: Kini Shandu Married
Kini, renowned for his role as Ndlovu in Umkhokha: The Curse, paid lobola for Andile back in April. The multi-talented 38-year-old actor and businessman, hailing from eNseleni outside Richard Bay, shared with Daily Sun that he and Andile had been dating for two years.
“I realised that she’s the one who deserved to be my wife because our Shembe church leader, Inkosi Unyazi Shembe, told us about our wives in the Shembe church. Andile is part of the Shembe church and everything during the ceremony will be done according to Shembe church and Zulu culture as it will also be her umemulo on the someday,” he said.

Off the Market: Kini Looks Forward to Official Union
Expressing his joy about officially being off the market, Kini stated,
“Sunday, 24 December, will be a big day for me as I will do all I can to show the Khanyile family that I’m serious about their daughter. After that I will wait for them to indicate when they are ready to give me a date for the actual wedding. But in the meantime, they’re the ones who should take care of their daughter making sure she is not interrupted on her way to our marriage.”
Kini emphasized that he expects attendees to dress in traditional attire, particularly Zulu attire, for the ceremony on Sunday.
