Watch: Bishop TD Jakes Experiences Medical Emergency While Preaching During Church Service
Bishop T.D. Jakes, founding pastor of The Potter’s House Church, suffered a medical emergency mid-sermon during a church service.
The pastor and motivational speaker was addressing congregants at The Potter’s House of Dallas, a nondenominational Christian church, on November 24 when the incident occurred.

Viral Video of Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Medical Emergency Scare
In a shocking video which has since gone viral, T.D Jakes was on stage Sunday finishing an hour-long sermon when he appeared to pause.
The 67-year-old pastor suddenly lowered his microphone and began to shudder and shake involuntarily.
A group of people quickly rushed to his aid, surrounding him on stage. Commands to “back up” and “give him some space” can be heard in the video clips now gaining traction online, as staff members crowded around him.
The video triggered a wave of well wishes and prayers for Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Health Update: Family and Church Offer Reassurance
The Potter’s House of Dallas has released a statement on TD Jakes’ official X account providing an update on his health.
The statement reassured the public that Bishop T.D. Jakes is in stable condition and under the care of medical professionals after experiencing a “health incident.”
“During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour long message. Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals. The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community,” the statement read.
Sarah Jakes Roberts, the daughter of Bishop T.D. Jakes, and her husband, Toure Roberts, also provided an update on Bishop Jakes.
“Obviously today could have been a tragic day but it wasn’t; by the mercy of God, by the grace of God, Bishop is doing well he’s recovering well, he’s under medical care he’s strong. We’re trying to get him to sit down, he’s the strong Bishop that we know but we really can’t thank you enough for your prayers,” Toure Roberts said.
Sarah Jakes shared that her father has begun to show signs of improvement.
“I’m so grateful that he’s already beginning to improve. It’s a reminder that even going into this holiday season, we need to love on the people who you hold near and dear and just take the time to be grateful for all the people God’s given you,” Sarah Jakes Roberts said
