WATCH: Female Soldier Strips Down to Underwear in Viral Video, Sparks SANDF Warning

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has issued a stern warning to its members following a viral TikTok video showing a female soldier undressing while dancing in uniform.

In a statement released by SANDF Chief General Rudzani Maphwanya and backed by the Military Command Council, soldiers were reminded to uphold discipline and proper conduct at all times, especially while wearing a military uniform.

The SANDF condemned any behaviour that involves posting explicit, suggestive, or inappropriate videos or photos while dressed in uniform. According to the military, this kind of content damages the integrity of the Force and goes against the values the uniform is meant to represent.

“While the SANDF respects the personal freedoms of its members, the public display of such content, particularly explicit, suggestive, or inappropriate, undermines the dignity of the uniform and the values of the SANDF,” part of the statement reads.

The statement stressed that personal freedom does not give members the right to behave in ways that bring the SANDF into disrepute. What a soldier does in uniform reflects on the entire organisation, and public displays of disrespectful or sexualised behaviour won’t be tolerated.

The military also reminded its personnel that this isn’t just a matter of poor judgement. Misusing the uniform in this way is considered a criminal offence under the Military Discipline Code, and those found guilty can face serious disciplinary action, including possible criminal charges.

This reaction follows a viral clip where a female soldier was seen dancing while slowly undressing. She removed her top to reveal a bra, then lowered her trousers to show her underwear. As she began pulling down her underwear, the video cut off.
