WATCH: Moment Jah Mason’s Son ‘Baba Skeng’ Gunned Down During TikTok Live Livestream

Tragedy struck on Monday when Jabari “Baba Skeng” Johnson — the son of well-known reggae artist Jah Mason — was gunned down execution-style while livestreaming on TikTok. The chilling incident happened near Queenie’s Snack Shop on Red Hills Road in St. Andrew.

According to the Jamaica Observer, Jabari was live on TikTok when a masked man, dressed in black, crept up behind him and shot him in the back of the head. After he collapsed, the shooter fired several more shots before fleeing the scene.

St. Andrew North Police have confirmed an investigation is underway.

This marks yet another high-profile killing involving a popular TikTok figure in Jamaica.

Jamaican TikToker Marlon Samuels, known as “41 Busshead,” was tragically shot and killed in Montego Bay on 20 December 2024. Another high-profile murder was that of 23-year-old Xavier “Niah Gang” Fogah, who was gunned down on Panton Lane in St. Catherine on 7 December 2024.

In September 2024, Keauno ‘Popsy’ Watson, 23, was murdered by armed assailants.

When contacted by IRIE FM, a grieving Jah Mason said, “I am hurt; I’m mourning” as he indicated he was awaiting “substantial/credible information“ from the police regarding the tragic incident.
