Popular Mexican influencer was murdered during a live TikTok session while her fans and followers were watching.

Beauty content creator Valeria Marquez was brutally gunned down while hosting a live session on TikTok from her workplace in Zapopan.

The 23-year-old digital creator with nearly 200,000 combined followers across social platforms was broadcasting fom the beauty salon where she worked when an armed assailant entered and opened fire. Jalisco state prosecutors confirmed they’re handling the case under femicide protocols – Mexico’s legal classification for gender-motivated killings of women.

Viewers witnessed Marquez’s final moments when she suddenly muted her stream after uttering “they’re coming” and responding to someone off-camera. Seconds later, the feed captured chaotic movement before abruptly ending. Earlier in the broadcast, Marquez had expressed unease about an unidentified visitor who left an expensive gift for her at the salon.
