A South African man named George of the “Where is the shoe” fame who trended last week, has explained the mystery behind the R18k Gucci shoe.

George became the centre of attraction last week following a domestic scuffle with his wife over a shoe.

The Whole Drama

Recently, George’s wife entered his car and found a receipt from the Gucci store. It indicated that the man had bought an R18k shoe for a woman.

When the wife discovered the receipt, she was perplexed because she had not received expensive shoes. She took out the receipt and confronted her husband.

The wife asked:

“George, where is the shoe? I don’t have the shoe. Ignoring me as usual.“

George could not find the boldness to respond and only smiled as he stared down. The irate woman banged the table as she asked where the shoe was.

George Explains Where The Shoe Is

5FM dug deep and managed to get hold of George so they could get an explanation of the viral R18k Gucci shoe.

George explained that he never bought the expensive shoe:

“What happened is a friend of mine gave me a call. We met up at Sandton. He wanted to surprise his wife because they have an anniversary coming up. Unfortunately what happened is we went together and bought the shoes. And how that receipt remained in my car is still a mystery to me. But anyway, it’s one of those.“

George said he could not tell his wife about the issue surrounding the Gucci shoes because it would spoil his friend’s surprise.

George’s justification drew laughter online.
