Wife and Boyfriend Arrested After Hiring a Hitman to Kill Her SANDF Husband in Lulekani
A shocking plot unfolded in Lulekani, outside Phalaborwa, where a wife and her boyfriend conspired to have her SANDF husband killed by a hired hitman.
The soldier, in his late 50s, was fatally shot in the early hours of Thursday, 29 May 2025, near Kurhula Primary School while on his way to work.

Domestic Dispute Leads to Deadly Plot
Police investigations revealed that the deceased and his 41-year-old wife had been experiencing ongoing domestic problems.
Detectives allege that the wife and her 45-year-old boyfriend orchestrated the murder by hiring a 52-year-old hitman to carry out the attack.
Suspects Apprehended Separately
The alleged hitman was arrested on Sunday, 16 November 2025, in Mandela Village, Namakgale. Two days later, on Tuesday, 18 November, authorities arrested the soldier’s wife and her boyfriend in Matikoxikaya, Lulekani.
All three suspects are set to appear before the Lulekani Magistrate’s Court today, Friday, 21 November, facing charges of murder.
