A Durban woman was killed and her husband was left badly injured after they had a heated domestic dispute in the early hours of today.

 A horrific case of domestic violence has left one woman dead and a man critically injured in Durban’s Yellowwood Park neighbourhood.Emergency responders rushed to a Finfoot Road residence in Woodlands shortly after midnight following multiple distress calls. Upon arrival, medical personnel discovered a brutal scene that had unfolded during what authorities believe was a domestic conflict.

According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the female victim, believed to be in her late forties, sustained numerous stab wounds during the violent encounter. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

“Our teams arrived to find police already securing the area,” Jamieson reported. “The situation was particularly severe, with both parties suffering extensive knife injuries.”

Male Suspect Under Police Supervision

The male individual involved, also in his forties, was found with multiple stab wounds requiring immediate medical attention. Advanced life support specialists stabilized his condition before transporting him to a nearby medical facility, where he remains under police observation.

While official details about the relationship between the two individuals haven’t been released, sources indicate the altercation stemmed from a domestic dispute. Local authorities have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
