The Nene family, shattered by the unexpected loss, released an official statement confirming the devastating news. They expressed their profound grief, stating,

In an emotionally raw conversation from a police station, the actress’s sister, Lethukuthula Nene, conveyed the family’s complete devastation. She described the 35-year-old’s death as both unexpected and abrupt, leaving them utterly lost for words.
