Scandal! ‘Nhlamulo’ Actor Mathews Rantsoma Tells On-screen Wife Lindiwe To “Stay In Her Bubble” After Leaving The Show
SAFTA-nominated actor Mathews Rantsoma, who is making his name on the small screen as Nhlamulo on etv soapie Scandal!, has broken his silence following the exit of his on-screen wife Lindiwe portrayed by Nomvelo Makhanya.
Nomvelo Makhanya left Scandal! after portraying the character Lindiwe for nine years. Her last live appearance on the soapie was last Thursday when her character passed away.
Speaking to etv, Mathews Rantsoma revealed how it was like working with Nomvelo Makhanya as her on-screen husband Nhlamulo.

He said that he misses her energy on set and that working with her was blissful for him. Rantsoma said:
I think Nomvelo is one of those people whose energy is very contagious. You know [she] is one of those energies you can’t exactly do without. If she is not there you feel it, she is not there. She is sick you feel it, she’s sick. So her energy is what I miss the most. But working with her has been very very blissful for me. Very fun.
Mathews Rantsoma added they kept each other in check and safe while acting together. He said:
We kept each other in check. We kept each other in line. We kept each other safe. I think that’s the most beautiful thing about working with her is that she will keep you safe. You are always safe with her.
Rantsoma goes on to advise his on-screen wife telling her to stay true to herself as she pursues her career. Mathews Ranstoma added that she must continue to fight for the things that she believes in.
He said:
Stay beautiful. Stay yourself. Stay as honest as possible. Fight for the things that you are fighting for. Stay in your bubble. No one must disturb your peace. Most of all I love you so much, my baby. I love you very very much. But stay in your bubble.
