Zulu King Misuzulu KaZwelithini Involved In a Car Accident

Zulu King Misuzulu KaZwelithini was recently involved in a minor car accident near Vryheid in northern KwaZulu-Natal. His convoy reportedly collided with another vehicle on the R34 road but veered off safely, leaving the monarch uninjured.

Official Statement Confirms King’s Safety

Prime Minister to the Zulu Monarch, Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, confirmed the incident, reassuring the public that King Misuzulu is unharmed.

He is well and emerged unscathed as His Majesty’s convoy was involved in a minor road accident.

I spoke to His Majesty last night, and he was in high spirits, conveying to me that the whole incident was of a minor nature,”Buthelezi stated.

Police Investigation Underway

The Prime Minister noted that police would conduct a routine investigation to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the collision. The king’s convoy reportedly collided with a VW Polo, leading to the incident but thankfully resulted in no injuries.

King’s Schedule to Continue as Planned

Buthelezi assured the public that King Misuzulu’s schedule remains unaffected.

On behalf of the royal family, I wish to assure the nation that there is no cause for concern regarding His Majesty the King’s wellbeing,” he said.

The king is expected to preside over the official opening of the Princess Mkabayi Regional Mall in Vryheid on Wednesday.

King Misuzulu’s Safety in Focus Following Recent Trust Concerns

Meanwhile, this comes a month after King Misuzulu KaZwelithini expressed fears for his life and revealed that he no longer trusts his long-time bodyguard.

In a letter dated 11 September, King Misuzulu raised concerns about a senior officer from the Presidential Protection Services (PPS), who has been tasked with his security for the past two years. The king demanded the immediate removal of this officer, citing a breakdown in trust.
