Beloved Comedian and Actor Ebenhaezer Dibakwane Dies at 31
South African actor and comedian Ebenhaezer Dibakwane has passed away at the age of 31.
Known for his sharp wit and unique comedic style, Dibakwane was a beloved figure in the entertainment industry.
His management team, Pickledginger Entertainment Agency, confirmed the news in a statement.

Ebenhaezer Dibakwane’s Death Comfirmed
In a statement released by his management team, they expressed their deep sorrow, stating:
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of celebrated comedian, actor, and writer Ebenhaezer Dibakwane. A friend to so many, he will be remembered for his off-the-wall humour and original style of stand-up comedy.”

Dibakwane’s career was marked by numerous accolades, including a second Savanna Comics’ Choice Award for Intermediate Comedian of the Year and two additional nominations.
Beyond comedy, he was an accomplished scriptwriter, earning a nomination for a SAFTA (South African Film and Television Award) for Best Achievement in Scriptwriting.
From TV Debut to International Stages
Dibakwane made his television acting debut in 2015, guest-starring as a film crew director in the e.tv soapie Ashes to Ashes. His star continued to rise as he presented Walala Wasala on SABC1 and appeared in popular shows like ‘Divorced at 50′ and ‘Real Estate Sisters’. He also graced several TV commercials, showcasing his versatility as a performer.
In 2016, Dibakwane shared the stage with comedy giants like Trevor Noah, Aries Spears, and Hannibal Buress at the Comedy Central International Comedy Festival, solidifying his place among the industry’s elite.
