DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small Defy Beef Rumors with Epic U.S. Tour Announcement
DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small keep proving their haters wrong.
Despite rumours circulating about their strained relationship, the duo, collectively known as the Scorpion Kings have repeatedly clarified their strong partnership. Now, they’re gearing up for an exciting tour across the United States.
To kick off their journey, the Amapiano maestros hosted a special farewell mix atop the scenic rooftop of Sony Music Group, their distribution company. Joining them were artists X-Duppy and Mlindo The Vocalist, along with Maphorisa’s partner, Thuli Phongolo. This mix offered a tantalizing preview of what’s in store for their U.S. tour.
Their upcoming gig at Central Park in New York on July 27 promises to be an unprecedented Amapiano extravaganza—the first of its kind in the iconic park’s history.
In an interview with ZiMoja, DJ Maphorisa addressed the ongoing social media speculation, emphasizing that they are focused on making strategic business moves and have no time for petty beef. He expressed their excitement about the upcoming tour, stating,
“We are excited about and prepared to make history. We have been putting in a lot of work and we are now making big moves only. The hard work is paying off. There’s no time for social media hate and criticism. We’re busy making moves.”
In another groundbreaking collaboration, Kabza De Small and music conductor Ofentse Pitse will join forces with a Symphonic Orchestra at the sold-out Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg.
Commenting on the upcoming events, Kabza De Small said,
“We are changing the game and what people thought they knew about Amapiano,” before adding,”We are always trying to do things differently; we are working hard.”
