Emtee Survives Midrand Car Crash, Denies Being Drunk When the Accident Happened
South African rapper Emtee has assured fans that he is unharmed following a car accident that occurred at The Precinct Luxury Apartments in Midrand on Monday night.
The rapper was driving his silver Volkswagen Caravelle T5 when he collided with a parked vehicle. Images from the scene quickly made rounds on social media, sparking rumours and speculation about the cause of the crash.

Emtee Addresses Accident Speculation
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Emtee expressed his frustration with the attention surrounding the incident, claiming that people are using the accident to tarnish his name.
He said,
“Not that anybody cares but I’m OK. It’s all over because of who I am. If I was a normal citizen, it would have never happened that way. It’s a trend to talk sht about me.”

“The accident happened and that’s that. I’m alive, he’s alive. Everything will be sorted. I don’t know why people are talking so much. It’s all because my name is all over this thing.”

Responds to Allegations of Impairment
When asked whether he was sober at the time of the accident, Emtee firmly denied being under the influence of alcohol. He clarified,
“Yes. The same people lied to the police and said I was drunk. That time I don’t drink alcohol. Yes, I smoke weed — but I don’t drink alcohol.”
The rapper insisted that the rumours were part of an ongoing effort to damage his reputation.
