Rapper-turned-reality TV host Jub Jub caught Mzansi off guard after reports emerged he had resigned from the hugely popular show Uyajola 9/9.
As per a report by Sunday World, the ‘Ndikhokhele’ hit-maker submitted his resignation via email to Moja Love’s CEO, Aubrey Tau. In his resignation, Jub Jub cited multiple reasons for his departure, including claims of emotional and verbal abuse.
Jub Jub’s Resignation Sparks Heated Exchange
In a leaked email obtained by Sunday World, Aubrey Tau angrily responded to Jub Jub’s resignation with strong words, calling him “ungrateful, dishonest, and super arrogant.” Tau also revealed that Moja Love had covered Jub Jub’s legal fees during his recent rape court case, amounting to no less than R1 million, stating,
“You were accused of a serious crime of rape and the company, out of its own goodwill, and after you requested, offered to pay for your legal fees, and this was a huge amount.. and no less than R1-million.”

The email also addressed Jub Jub’s salary for hosting Uyajola 9/9, putting an end to speculation that arose from a fallout between him and Moja Love in 2023 regarding unpaid salaries and contractual disputes. While rumours suggested that Jub Jub was earning around R500,000, Tau clarified that they had agreed to pay him a monthly salary of R180,000 even if he did not appear on the show.
“The mistake we have done was to give you a monthly fee. The company would pay you monthly R180 000 even if you did not work and yet you term this unfair treatment,” Tau disclosed.
While both Jub Jub and Moja Love have remained tight-lipped about the exact salary figures, the leaked emails clarified that he was earning over R180,000 per month, rather than the rumoured R500,000.
