Senzo Meyiwa’s Widow Sparks Controversy with Cryptic Post Amidst Kelly Khumalo’s Implication in Murder Trial
In the midst of the ongoing murder trial of late Orlando Pirates player Senzo Meyiwa, accusations and speculation surrounding his mistress, Kelly Khumalo, have taken a dramatic turn.
This week, investigating officer Brigadier Bongani Gininda claimed in court that Kelly was implicated as the mastermind behind a hit on Meyiwa.
Accusations in Court: Kelly Khumalo Allegedly Implicated in Murder Plot
Those present, including Kelly herself, have maintained the 2014 murder, which took place in the home belonging to Kelly Khumalo’s mother, as a “robbery gone wrong.” However, recent court proceedings suggest a different narrative.
As per the sworn statement, Muzi Sibiya (Accused 1) and Bongani Ntanzi (Accused 2) have allegedly pointed to Kelly Khumalo as the individual who orchestrated the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
The affidavit reveals mobile phone connections between Kelly Khumalo and Accused 3 and 5. Additionally, communication records between Kelly Khumalo and her sister, Zandile, suggest a desire to eliminate Senzo Meyiwa.
“Communication records between her (Kelly Khumalo) and her sister show that as early as 2013, she wanted to get rid of the deceased as she puts it. It is abundantly clear that she hated him and wanted to get rid of him. She further states that she regrets not succeeding to get rid of him before. Taking all of this into account, an inference can be drawn she meant killing him,” reads part of the affidavit which is dated November 2020.
Mandisa Mkhize’s Cryptic Instagram Post Raises Eyebrows
Senzo Meyiwa’s widow, Mandisa Mkhize, added fuel to the speculation fire with a cryptic Instagram post. The post, shared around the same time as the shocking court revelations, carried the caption:
“What are you doing? 2024 has started well.”
In the comment section, followers questioned whether Mandisa’s post was directed at her nemesis, Kelly Khumalo. The history between Mandisa and Kelly involves Senzo’s extramarital affair with Kelly, leading to the birth of their love child, Thingo, while Senzo was still married to Mandisa.
The emotional turmoil caused by the affair was evident in Mandisa’s past statements. She revealed,
“When I saw pictures of them looking cosy, I got the shock of my life. I was heartbroken and cried hysterically. I called Senzo and told him to respect me as a wife.”
