Springbok Captain Siya Kolisi and Wife Rachel Divorce After 8 Years

In an unexpected development, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and his wife Rachel have publicly announced their decision to divorce.

The couple took to their official Instagram accounts on Tuesday and issued a joint statement. Siya and Rachel Kolisi said the decision to divorce was mutual.

Siya and Rachel Kolisi Hint at Reason For Divorce

They revealed their decision to divorce was made after much reflection and frank conversations.

“We wanted to share some important news with you. After much reflection and open conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage. This decision comes from a place of love, respect, and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us,” part of the statement reads.

The Kolisi’s Commit to Co-Parenting

Siya and Rachel Kolisi said that while they have decided to end their marriage, they will stay friends and dedicated to co-parenting their children. They added that despite the divorce, they will continue working together on their foundation.

“While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known. We will also continue working together on the Foundation that means so much to us,” the couple added.

In concluding their joint statement, the couple thanked Mzansi for understanding and supporting them during this period. Siya and Rachel Kolisi requested privacy as they navigate the end of their marriage.

“We are grateful for the love, understanding, and support you’ve shown us, and we kindly ask for your respect as we navigate this transition,” the statement concludes.
