He then promised his followers a video of himself dancing to the song if they reached a number of comments he set for them. Honestly speaking every can’t wait to see him doing the challenge on a video because they all know how fun it would be to watch.

John Vuli Gate is the latest amapiano song by Mapara A Jazz ft Ntosh Gaz and Colano. The song started trending after a group of young ladies put on a performance on social media with a video clip of them dancing to the song, at a Shell service station which went viral.

It was actually inspired by a scene in the award-winning movie Tsotsi, the part where John’s wife Pumla shouts ‘John, John vuli gate!

Pumla, played by Nambitha Mpulwana stops her car outside her gate in the heavy rain and runs to the intercom where she yells for John, played by Rapulana Seiphemo, to open the gate.  She then gets shot by Tsotsi.
