Surviving Abuse: Kelly Khumalo Details How Jub Jub Suffocated Her with a Pillow While R_ping Her
South African songstress Kelly Khumalo has detailed to the police a series of domestic violence incidents in which she was allegedly r_ped and almost killed by her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye.
These incidents occurred more than a decade ago and involved physical abuse, assault, and rape.

Kelly Khumalo fell pregnant with Jub Jub’s son in 2009 and moved in with him in 2010. This marked the beginning of their relationship and the start of a tumultuous period for Kelly Khumalo.

Argument and Strangulation
According to Sunday World, Kelly Khumalo recounted to the police an incident that occurred when Jub Jub was released from jail on bail after an accident in which several schoolchildren were killed in Soweto.
While visiting friends in Rivonia, the couple engaged in an argument, during which the rapper allegedly pushed Kelly Khumalo against the wall and strangled her, all while she was eight months pregnant. Following the fight, Kelly Khumalo reportedly had to seek treatment at the Sandton Clinic after experiencing severe abdominal pains.
Slapping and Apologies
Another incident took place when Jub Jub picked Kelly Khumalo up after she had finished filming for Rhythm City in June 2010. He found her outside the studio with co-actors and accused her of having a relationship with one of them.
Upon arriving at their residence, Jub Jub slapped Kelly Khumalo. However, he later apologized, and Kelly forgave him for the sake of their newborn child.
Physical Abuse and Injuries
In 2010, Kelly Khumalo experienced further physical abuse from Jub Jub. He punched her so hard that she hit a doorframe and injured her nose.
In another incident the same year, Jub Jub hit her with his fist on her lip, causing a scar that remains to this day. Kelly sought medical attention and had her lip stitched.
How Jub Jub Assaulted her Mother and Sister
Kelly Khumalo alleges that Jub Jub also assaulted her mother and sister at their family home in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg.
A fight broke out when Jub Jub wanted Kelly Khumalo’s bank card and car keys, and she refused. He hit her on the head with a glass, causing incisions that required medical attention. The fight escalated when Kelly’s mother and sister tried to protect her.
Chilling Rape Allegation: Pillow Suffocation During Assault
Kelly Khumalo further alleges that Jub Jub raped her when she refused to have tlof tlof with him in 2012.
According to her statement to the police, Jub Jub reportedly took out a pillow and suffocated her while r_ping her. He had the pillow on her face during the assault. After he was done, Jub Jub removed the pillow and left for his court hearing.

Amanda Du Pont R_pe Allegations
As Jub Jub’s legal troubles continue to mount, actress Amanda Du Pont has come forward with allegations that he r_ped her in front of her sisters. She also claims that Jub Jub suffocated her until she lost consciousness.
