Scandal: What’s Up With Vernon’s Girl?
Vernon has been one of those characters that one has grown to love on the soapie Scandal. He has given us some incredible moments while being incredibly disappointing in some. He has been working towards being a good person and now we can all confidently say that he is fully reformed and has joined the community of Newtown as a responsible and likable member of society. The poor guy has not had much luck when it comes to love and has suffered a lot from unrequited love. Remember when he was head over heels in love with Ingrid, but she saw him as more of a brother than a lover? It is sad that sometimes unrequited love also comes from people he wants to be mentored by. Vernon has loved Mr. Mokgethi Sir, has loved Quinton Nyathi too, wanting to get into their good books and perhaps be their proteges too. It is sad, but endearing too.
It has been a welcome change to see him fall in love with his woman and desire to provide a life filled with love and comfort. Vernon has been so committed to the process and involved in the little things that will surely make his woman happy. Hey, but what kind of woman is she? Who are her people, LOL? What does she want from Vernon aside from love? Sure, everyone can see that she is as in love with Vernon as he is, but one worries about the mental stability of this person.
They are both moving a bit too quickly so their steps in the relationship are not at all measured. Vernon bought an apartment because they felt it was time to move in together, she proposed because she loves him? One has been stuck on the warning Vernon received from one of his friends, that his woman might be dangerous, but that was quickly calmed by Vernon letting us in on the fact that she suffers from bipolar. To be honest, we are in for one dramatic ride because the couple can’t even jointly decide on a date for their wedding. We wait and see!
