Controversy Surrounds ANC’s Funeral Assistance Offer
Before the memorial service, well-wishers, including DJ Sbu, Zola, and representatives from various churches, visited the singer’s family to offer condolences.
Notably, ANC Provincial Secretary Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza and his ex-wife Nhlanhla Mafu paid their respects after a delay in visiting the star during her hospitalisation. According to an insider, TK and Nhlanhla visited the family’s house on Wednesday, expressing condolences and suggesting that the ANC handle the funeral arrangements. However, this proposal stirred some controversy, with reports indicating that Vusi Nova, a close associate, expressed dissatisfaction with TK’s offer.
“They arrived at the house and said their condolences to Bulelwa’s mom. TK offered that the ANC handles the funeral arrangements and move the body from the current mortuary, which did not sit well with a lot of people. They were not present during her time of need. The family reached out to them for assistance, but no one was there for her, except for her fiancé Mpho,” the source disclosed.
Although it remains unclear whether the family accepted the ANC’s assistance, reports suggest ongoing discussions to ensure Zahara receives a dignified send-off.
