Mixed Reaction Over Uzalo Fikile Actress’ ‘Insensitive, Broke Women’ Post
Actress and media personality Nelisa Mchunu who plays the role of Fikile on SABC 1 soapie Uzalo, is currently trending on social media after her post concerning ‘broke, poor and lazy women’ was intercepted with a mixed reaction.
In the post, Nelisa seems to be encouraging women to step up saying that men are tired of ‘broke,’ and ‘poor and lazy women.’ Writing on social media platform Twitter, the Fikile actress said,

The post sparked a debate among her social media followers. Many people did not react well to the post and regarded it as insensitive and coming from the position of privilege. Some reminded the actress that there are many talented and highly qualified women who are currently struggling due to a lack of opportunities.
