Thando Duma who is also known as DJ Lady Amar is often confused as actress Ntando Duma.
The two bear an uncanny resemblance to each other, from their slender frames to their facial features.
On a good day you can easily mistake them for each other.
Thando And Ntando DumaThando is the older sister while Ntando is the last born and baby of the family. They have two older sisters, who are equally stunning as them.
Thando and Ntando Duma are both in the entertainment industry although their crafts are different.
While Ntando is an actress, Thando chose the music world and works as a DJ. She is known by professional name Lady Amar.
Lady Amar has an appreciation for all things Venda, although she is a Zulu girl. She knows how to speak the language as well and she is good friends with Venda singer Makhadzi.
She occasionally shares her love for Venda culture like the one time she asked her mom to attend a function rocking the Venda attire and shared the pictures on the her social media account.
Lady Amar also shared photos rocking a traditional Venda attire and maybe trying out the Tshigombela dance.
Like most celebrities, before she became Lady Amar, Thando Duma didn’t have fame handed down to her on a silver platter.
Thando Duma was born in Soweto in Gauteng but was raised in Orange farm by a single mother and grandmother.
Lady Amar says her mom taught her to be strong and to keep it moving even when things are tough, a lesson which served her well as she went through career disappointments.
Thando Duma got her first job where she worked as a waitress at The Bread Basket, she was promoted to a supervisor, only to be retrenched two years later.
She also auditioned for Idols but she failed to make the cut but that’s didn’t hold her back from pursuing her dreams.
