Why People Think Uzalo’s Thulani Shange Is Gay
Actor Thulani Shange lives a private life and because of that so many speculations and rumours have been spread about his name.
Little about his life is known – from both social media and interviews and the 27-year-old actor keeps a very low profile.
However, the gay rumours were sparked by his controversial, homosexual character on Ikhaya series where he perfectly played the role of Lindani Mbatha’s secret lover.
Because of his role, Thulane Shange – together with his colleague Sphamandla were subjected to homophobic slurs on social media.
But the questions still stands, is Thulani Shange really a member of the LGBT community?
The actor kept a very low profile at the height of the social media homophobic slurs and has never entertained anyone who has labelled him or questioned him about the relationship between his role on “Ikhaya” and real life. He has never come out to the public to declare whether he is gay or not.
However, Thulane Shange will be releasing a huge sigh of relief now that the actor is confirmed to return to the telenovela to shake things up even more.
Those who did not know the actor prior to his short and unexpected break from the show will be excited to know more about the people’s favourite villain.
Thulani Shange’s role portraying a villain – one of the Khanyile brothers, got killed on the show after the production company revealed that their characters had run its course.
In a rather unexpected twist, Uzalo has brought back Thulane on the show – still portraying the vengeful and bloodthirsty Khanyile brother who is baying for Nkunzebomvu Mhlongo’s blood.
Thulane Shange is not a new face on Mzansi screens. From his debut role as Lwazi on Mzansi Magic’s “iSthunzi” to his latest and controversial persona – on “Ikhaya”.
Indeed, Thulani Shange has always found himself a way to keep Mzansi talking.
