The government has announced a new ministry with immediate effect.
A statement issued on Thursday morning confirming the appointment of Oscar Bonginkosi Mdlongwa popularly known as Oskido as the new Minister of Kwaito and House Music.
“I have received many representations to reconsider my decision. As a democratic government, we emphasise the importance of listening to the people and to respond to their views,” the presidency said in a statement.
“ Today we have reached another milestone in the evolution of government and in that regard, I have appointed Oscar Bonginkosi Mdlongwa popularly known as Oskido, as the new minister of Kwaito and House with immediate effect.”
“We also would like to announce that Oskido will be assisted by Thato Sikwane aka DJ Fresh as Deputy Minister. The two have decades of experience and we could not see any worthy candidate for the post. Their experience will push the genre to new heights,” The statement read.
