Battle of the Tech Titans Fizzles Out? Zuckerberg Blasts Musk for Lack of Commitment in Anticipated Cage Match
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has said that he is tired of waiting for Elon Musk to give their fight the green light so he is moving on to other things.
A cage match between Zuckerberg and Musk has been teased for a while now with Italy open to hosting the bout.
However, it seems unlikely that the match will occur with Zuckerberg taking to Threads on Sunday to announce that he was throwing in the towel on the planning process.
Zuckerberg Accuses Musk of Not Being Serious
He said it was clear to him that Elon Musk was not serious about the cage match as evidenced by all the excuses that he has offered to postpone this thing.
Zuckerberg said he had offered a date but Musk failed to confirm it and said he needed surgery and even asked to do a practice round in Zuckerberg’s backyard instead of a real fight.
“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead,” Zuckerberg wrote.
Zuckerberg Still Open To Cage Match With Musk
He however did not close the door on the cage match occurring in the future, adding that if Musk is still interested, he knows how to reach him.
“If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously,” the Facebook boss finished his announcement.
