South African cricketer Wayne Parnell was spotted imitating Cristiano Ronaldo’s new celebration during the T20 World Cup win against India.

Parnell dismissed the troublesome Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav in the 19th over. After giving Yadav his marching orders, Wayne Parnell gave a noteworthy tribute to football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, imitating his new celebration.

For years, the former Real Madrid striker performed the “Siuu” celebration whenever he scored.
Ronaldo could be seen running to the touchline jumping high in the air and screaming “SIUUUU” as he lands.
But this season, fans witnessed a change as Ronaldo presented a new celebration now famously known as the ‘Peace Of Mind”.
Ronaldo performed his new celebration during a fixture against Everton in the English Premier League early in October and then against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Ronaldo was spotted running to the touchline from the two fixtures before standing still, eyes closed and hands folded on his chest as he celebrates his goals.
However, Ronaldo’s celebration is a self-deprecating joke, where he pokes fun at his love of napping.
Explaining Ronaldo’s new celebration, Man United wrote:
“We can now reveal that Ronaldo’s celebration was a self-deprecating in-joke with his teammates, highlighting the strong bonds among the players in Erik ten Hag’s squad.
“Of course, Cristiano is renowned for looking after himself and ensuring he is always in the best possible condition, which naturally involves hours of hard work on the training pitch and in the gym.
“It also includes resting at the right moments and ensuring he has enough sleep to aid his recovery: it has previously been reported that Ronaldo naps several times a day!
“CR7’s celebration at Everton was amusingly a nod to the position in which he sleeps when travelling with the squad, which hasn’t gone unnoticed by his teammates, who are all eager to learn from him.”
