The River: Indecisive Tumi

The River: Indecisive Tumi

The River: Tumi’s blame game is really at the top of the charts. Her angry plea to Mabutho that he jumps off the roof was the most annoying experience of last night’s episode. She has no sense of accountability and refuses to see that everyone involved is in the chaos that they are in because she has refused to take responsibility for her actions.

Blaming Mabutho becomes such a convenient thing when she is rattled by her own guilt of not doing the right thing in the beginning. Would everyone be here if Tumi had confessed to the murder? Would the chaos have ensued had she not cheated on her husband with his cousin?

The sudden realisation Tumi has had about the type of man that Lindani is, bags the question if she really did love Mabutho in the first place or was it just lust? It seems we will be suffering Tumi’s woe filled guilt until Lindani hopefully comes out of his coma.

The River: Indecisive Tumi

We have been such suckers though, from people who were certain they wanted Lindani dead two episodes ago, here we are, mad at Mabutho and certain Tumi is the dumbest woman in all of Pretoria. It will be interesting to see though if Tumi will come clean and if she and Mabutho decide on a break-up?

How long are we expecting Tumi to put on the charade of playing loving wife to Lindani when we all know that, that is masked by the fact that she feels guilty for putting him in hospital. While we wait to see what unfolds between Tumi and her fiancé while she is sitting at her husband’s bedside, we should perhaps ruminate on our own misguided decisions. What has love made us do that we now know that it was incredibly stupid?
