‘She said no three times before’ MacG Accused Of Using A Public Proposal To Manipulate Naledi

On Saturday, 29 July, the renowned South African podcaster MacG, whose real name is Macgyver Mukwevho, celebrated a significant milestone – reaching 1 million subscribers. The jubilant event took place at the Sunbet Arena, where thousands of fans gathered to join in the celebration of MacG’s accomplishment.

A Romantic Proposal Amidst the Cheers

During the event, MacG took a heartfelt moment to make the occasion even more memorable. He proposed to his long-term girlfriend of eight years, Naledi Monamodi, in front of the enthusiastic crowd. Embraced by loud cheers and applause, MacG expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Naledi’s unwavering support throughout his journey as a podcaster.

“Before all of this happened, there was a lady by my side, who stood next to me, she told me ‘baby, you can do this.’ She told me ‘baby, there’s no one else who can do this’ when we just had an iPad she did the first show when I was out, broke, and didn’t have any money,” said Mac G during his proposal.

Accusations of Manipulation Surface

Despite the overwhelming joy from many fans congratulating the couple on their engagement, a cloud of controversy has arisen. Some individuals have accused MacG of using the large crowd to manipulate Naledi into saying yes, claiming that she had supposedly turned down his proposal on three previous occasions.

“Lmao. Oh, then he definitely proposed in front of all those people to manipulate her into saying yes,” one person expressed on social media.

Divided Opinions on Public Proposals

The public’s response to the proposal has been mixed, with contrasting opinions filling the comment sections of various platforms. Some individuals believe that public proposals can be manipulative and serve as red flags in relationships, while others argue that such gestures reflect the seriousness and commitment of the proposer.

“Public proposals are so manipulative and a huge red flag, but I guess some people like them, so to each their own,” one person commented.

“If he didn’t propose, we were going to say he’s not serious about her. Twitter standards are complex,” another person remarked.
