A man has been brutally murdered by angry community members who believed they were delivering mob justice in Gauteng.
In a devastating turn of events, a horrifying incident occurred in Ivory Park, Gauteng, resulting in the tragic death of Albert Sithole, as reported by his family. The incident took place on the 24th of March 2024 during a gathering in the phase area.
Mistaking Albert’s presence for that of a thief, the homeowner sounded an alarm, inciting panic among residents. Responding to the alarm, a group of individuals from the community gathered and, without verifying the situation, unleashed a violent assault on Albert.
Tragically, the assault resulted in Albert’s death, and his lifeless body was callously discarded near a nearby river.

Discovery of the Body
Following the harrowing incident, the aquatic rescue team was summoned to the scene. After an extensive search, they located Albert’s lifeless body in the river.
Albert Sithole: A Respected Member of the Community
Albert Sithole, the victim of this senseless violence, was a well-known figure in the area. He was recognized for his contributions as a local vendor, selling steel wool and essential items such as toilet paper in Lindokuhke phase two and the surrounding neighbourhoods, including Ivory Park 2.

Investigation Status
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this tragic incident. The community remains in shock and mourning over the loss of Albert Sithole while authorities continue their investigation to bring those responsible to justice.
